IfM to organize Cambridge’s first Strategic Intellectual Property Forum, 7 July 2015
We are pleased to announce the first Strategic Intellectual Property Forum (SIPF). SIPF’s half day event on Tuesday, 7 July 2015 focuses on strategic IP topics from a business perspective. The forum aims to bring together interested individuals, such as CTOs, portfolio managers, VPs Technology, Heads of Innovation/ IP / licensing from a range of companies and sectors to engage in an expert community. The programme [Link] features four speakers representing large companies and entrepreneurial ventures, representing the university perspective as well as and the European Patent Office. SIPF is organized in partnership with Avidity IP, the Cambridge-based firm of patent and trade mark attorneys and Cambridge Network.
Further information and registration: www.ifm.eng.cam.ac.uk/events/sipf/
Prior to SIPF’s event the IfM and Cambridge Network invite individuals from manufacturing companies (in a broad sense) to join the kick-off meeting of an IP Interest Group (IPIG). The Group will provide a trusted platform for its members to engage in in-depth discussions on strategically relevant IP topics meeting regularly a few times per year.
During the kick-off event we will propose a modus operandi for further discussions. Members are expected to join the meetings regularly. The number of participants is limited. Arrangements will be made to compose a non-competitive group.
If you would like more information about joining the IPIG please e-mail Dr Frank Tietze (frank.tietze@eng.cam.ac.uk).
