As part of an EPSRC funded research project  and supported by the Cambridge Big Data Inititative we are seeking expert opinions on the future of patent analytics. Please share your expertise with us. Results from the short 5-min survey will inform a workshop on 3rd March where experts will gather to develop a roadmap for the future of patent analytics!

The project is run by the Innovation and Intellectual Property Management research group, based at the Centre for Technology Management, University of Cambridge.

Workshop reminder: EPSRC research project on the future of patent analytics

As part of an EPSRC funded research project our Intellectual Property and Innovation Management (IIPM) group at the Institute for Manufacturing, University of Cambridge will host a workshop on 3 March to discuss the future of patent analytics. Attendance is for a selected people who can work together to push the boundaries of patent analytics. We aim for a balanced mix of academics, who specialize in patent information, innovation and decision making, experts in novel technologies so far hardly applied to patent analytics, lead users of patent data and software (e.g. large companies customers), and carefully selected representatives from innovative consultancies and vendors.

Cambridge research project on the „future of patent analytics“: Workshop announcement + survey

As part of our EPSRC project on the future of patent analytics we will run a workshop on 3 March in Cambridge bringing together leading experts to discuss the future of patent analytics from different stakeholder groups.

Attendance is for a selected group of about 20 participants who work towards pushing the boundaries of patent analytics. We aim for a balanced mix of academics, who specialize in patent information, innovation and decision making, experts in novel technologies so far hardly applied to patent analytics, lead users of patent data and software (e.g. large companies customers), and carefully selected representatives from innovative consultancies and vendors. Fully funded PhD scholarship at Centre for Technology Management, University of Cambridge

Pleased to announce a fully funded EPSRC scholarship to support one PhD student with research focusing on „OpenIP strategies for emerging technologies“ starting in October 2017. The student will work with Dr. Frank Tietze at the Centre for Technology Management, who runs the Innovation and Intellectual Property Management research group. The application deadline is 31 January 2017. Further details available here.

Applicants from the UK are eligible for a full award covering university and college fees and a maintenance allowance. Applicants from the EU are eligible for a fees-only award unless they can be deemed a home student, i.e. have been permanent residency in the UK for the 3 years preceding October 2017. Unfortunately, overseas applicants are not eligible for this particular scholarship.
